Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN
    CATIA
    Cause of the problem:
    a) The selected face and its border edges are
described by the same Generic Name (GN).
    b) Since, GN is common for both Faces and Edges,
identifier of the selected face is too long.
    c) This error message is generated because the
identifier of the selected face is too long.
    .
Problem: The real problem is that the face and its
limiting edges should not be named with the same
    GN name
    .
In order to proceed further, we need the following:
    1) Either the implementation of CATIBuild interface
    for feature NUL
    2) OR Directly the report of informations sent to GN
    .
Without the report of informations sent to GN,
Development cannot deepen their analysis. hence
the problem is closed as Restriction.
    .
