  Scenario:
  0. Start CATIA
  1. Open a CATPart
  Workbench: Generative Shape Design
  2. Select "Join" icon.
  Join definition dialog is displayed.
  3. Select "Surface.1" and "Surface.2"
  click "OK" button
  Join is done.
  Remark: But Non-manifold configuration is created.

  Do following steps to confirm Non-manifold of
  Join.1.
  4. Select "Extrapolate" icon.
  Extrapolate Definition dialog is displayed.
  5. Boundary: Edge of "Join.1".
  6. Extrapolated: "Join.1".
  7. Continuity: Curvature.
  Result:Update Error
  Extrapol.1
  Non-manifold configuration around a vertex.
  Modify locally the input body

• Incident Diagnosis
  Error in Surface Extrapolation is due to two faces
  sharing a lonely vertex in a shell. Error is explicit
  and correctly localised.
  Join is doing its job by merging those vertices. Do
  not merge them is strongly invalid
  Correct Application
  Do not use shells with a lonely common vertex
  between faces.
  In this specific case, use join with 0.002 as
  tolerance on option "Merging distance"
