  SCENARIO:

  1. Launch CATIA
  2. Open the CATDrawing and the CATPart.
  3. Create a new Front View using the plane shown
  in the 3D.
  4. Select - the command "Area fill Creation"
  5. Select Automatic Detection.
  6. Create Area fill  in the specific region as shown
  in the drawing.
  .
  RESULTS OBTAINED:
  The hatching is shown in the area not desired.
  .
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  Area fill should show the hatching correctly.

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
  5 RELEASE 19 GA LEVEL.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED

  DRAFTING (GENDRAFT) / WRONG RESULTS FOR
  AREA FILL.

  Correction Explanation:
  The external profile of desired area fill defines  one
  intersection between two elements greater than
  tolerance used by "Generated or sketch" settings
  Please (see Tools/Option/Drafting/Annotation &
  dress up).This is why result is not the one expected.
  To be able to create desired area fill on generated
  view, switch setting to "Imported from external
  format".

  Change the settings:
  Tools/Option/Drafting/Annotation & dress up.
  Check the box for "Imported from external format"
  in Area fill.
  .
  The Area fill is showing the hatching correctly now.
  .
