How to resolve the RAID volume filesystem initialization failure when the RAID is partially detached

Troubleshooting

Problem

How to resolve the RAID volume filesystem initialization failure when the RAID is partially detached?

Symptom

The best practice is check and disable all objects that point to mounted RAID volume directories: local:///ondisk, logstore:///ondisk, and the document store for B2B transactions. The configurations to check before you disable the RAID volume are log targets with directory of logstore:///ondisk/ and B2B Persistence.

If you disable the RAID volume when there is an open file on the RAID mounted directories, you see following log:

Doing deferred detach of storage volume raid-volume raid0.

The message indicates that the RAID volume could be partly detached so that it could cause subsequent RAID actions, such as file system re-initialization, to fail.
