APAR status

Error description

  • Link of SolidWorks drawing to assembly is lost after
    save in SMARTEAM when operating in lightweight
    mode.
    Scenario:
    1) Launch SolidWorks and connect SmarTeam.
    2) Select Tool/Options.
    3) Click System Option tab.
    4) Click Performance.
    5) Enable automatically load components
    lightweight.
    6) Click Assemblies in system option.
    7) Enable Use Large Assembly Mode to improve
    performance
    whenever working with an assembly containing
    more than this number
    of components 1
    Automatically load components lightweight
    Do not save auto recover info
    Hide all planes, axes, sketches, curves,
    annotations, etc..
    Do not display edges in shaded mode
    8) Click Ok button.
    9) Restart SolidWorks and connect SmarTeam.
    10) Create an Assembly in SolidWorks containing
    at least 1 part.
    11) Select Save as in SolidWorks and save the
    assembly.
    12) Close the assembly and reopen it (it will open
    in lightweight mode).
    10) Select File/Make Drawing from Assembly.
    11) Create a Drawing, and save it to SmarTeam.
    12) Select SmarTeam/locate Active Document.
    17) Click Link tab.
    18) Click SolidWorks links tab.
    19) (KO!)=> There are no links!

Problem conclusion

    VERSION 5 RELEASE 18 SP3.
