Error description

  • ABSTRACT:
DMU SPA: WRONG PRINCIPLE MOMENTS BASED
    ON CGR.
    .
    SCENARIO:
1.Start CATIA V5 with cache mode deactivated.
    2.OPen the provided CATProduct.
    3. Select the Measure Inertia command with at
least Inertia / G selected and select the root
    product.
4.Export the result in a .txt file.
    5. Start CATIA again with cache activated and
density saved in the CGR file.
    6. Open the provided CATProduct and stay in
    visualization mode.
    7. Select the Measure Inertia command with at
least Inertia / G selected and select the root
    product.
    8. Export the result in a .txt file.
    .
    RESULT:
The principal moments of two are different and
moreover the exported measure is not the one
given in the dialog box when selecting
    the CGR in the 3D
    EXPECTED RESULT:
There should not be any difference between CGR
and CATPart or at least between the read measure
in the 3D during measurement and the exported
    file.
    .

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
    5 RELEASE 19 GA level.
NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
    ON V5R18SP02.
    Incident Diagnosis
Wrong principle moments based on CGR
    Correction Explanation
density was not taken into account in computation
of inertia matrix for visualisation mode
    (approximate compute)
    .
