Error description

• GSD: EDIT AND DELETE NOT PERFORMED TO
  ELEMENTS OF AN INSTANCE.
  .
  SCENARIO:
  1) Start CATIA "V5R17SP3"
  2) Open the file: "TESTxxx7.CATPart".
  Workbench: "Generative Shape Design"
  3) Click "Point and Planes Repetition" icon.
  The "Points & Planes Repetition" window is opened.
  4) Select the "Line.1" in the tree.
  5) Click "OK" button. The "Ordered Geometrical
  Set.3" and the "Points" is created.
  6) Select "Insert" > "Instantiate From Selection..."
  by menu bar.
  7) Select "Ordered Geometrical Set.2" in the tree.
  The "Insert Object" window is opened.
  8) Select "Line.2" in the tree.
  9) Click "OK" button. The "Insert Object" window is
  closed. The new "Ordered Geometrical" and the
  new "Points" is created.
  10) Click "Undo" icon. The "Instance" is canceled.
  11) Click "Redo" icon. Once again, the "Instance" is
  performed.
  12) Click "Update" icon.

  Case1: When the "Points" is deleted or edited.
  13) Select the "Point.7" in the tree, and Click MB3.
  14) Select "Delete" from a context menu.
  The "Warning" window is opened.
  The content of a message: you can't delete a
  private component. This is a problem.
  15) Click "OK" button. The "Warning" window is
  closed.
  16) Double click "Point.7" in the tree. The "Edit
  warning" window is opened.
  The content of a message: You can not edit this
  object. This is a problem.
  17) Click "OK" button.

  Case2: When the "Ordered Geometrical Set" is
  deleted.
  18) Select the "Ordered Geometrical Set.4" in the
  tree, and Click MB3.
  19) Select "Delete" from a context menu.
  The "Error Cutting Data" window is opened.
  The content of a message: You can not edit this
  object. This is a problem.

  When performing the "Undo" and the "Redo" after
  performing an instance, the command of "edit"
  and "deletion" is not performed to the elements of
  an instance.

• THE PROBLEM WAS SUBMITTED ON :

  THIS PROBLEM IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON :
  CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 18 GA.

  Incident Diagnosis:
  CASE 1: Edition and deletion of the Points.
  Here the edition of the points is possible,
  hence the
  error messages are not thrown. About the
  deletion error message explaination is
  written later
  in the Technical Reason.
  CASE 2: Deletion of OGS
  In this particular level, the deletion of the
  OGS is
  possible and no error message as the one
  shown in
  the ppt is thrown.
  .
  Reason:
  The points that have got created after the
  instanciation by "Points and Plane
  Repetition" are
  the points which indeed are private
  members of the
  feature-OGS that gets created. So
  irrespective of
  undo redo, if we try to delete the points, we
  will not
  be able to delete the points.
  If we try to delete the feature as a whole it
  will get deleted, but individual components
  of the
  feature cannot be deleted, and hence the
  error
  message. As the components of a feature
  can be
  edited, the points can be edited.
