  PUBLICATION AT THE ASSEMBLY LEVEL IF THEY
  ARE ALSO AT PART LEVEL
  .
  SCENARIO:
  1. Create the product structure as follows in VPM
  (Picture). The catpart can be the simple cube with
  two holes as shown below(Picture). Publish the axis
  of each hole and the face of the cube at the part
  level.
  2. Save all in VPM.
  3. Open product from VPM to CATIA V5 and again
  publish the same elements (axis of each hole and
  the face of the cube) at product level as shown
  below(Picture).
  4. Save all in VPM using File -Save all.
  5. Close All CATIA files.
  6. Open the product again from VPM in CATIA V5.
  7. Publications are saved in VPM.
  8. Select product , click on Tools - Publications and
  remove all the three publications and click Ok.
  9. Save all modifications using file - save all ( one
  thing observed here is that once clicked on the
  save all it does not give the usual save all panel as
  follows but just quickly goes through as if saving in
  the file system(Picture).
  10. Close all catia files.
  11. Open the product again from VPM in CATIA V5.
  .
  RESULT: Publications are still there as if removal of
  publication did not get saved.
