APAR status

Error description

  • Machining (3ASMG) / "Rework" computation is
    different for two same geomerties.
    .
    SCENARIO:
    1. Start CATIA V5R17SP4
    2. Open "start_rework_error.CATProcess"
    3. Switch to "Surface Machining" workbench
    4. Click "Rework Area" icon in "Machining Features"
    toolbar.
    5. Click "Part" and select Body.5 by double-click.
    6. In "Tool" TAB, select "T1 Endmill D10"
    7. In "Other" TAB, input as follows:
    Tolerance: 0.01mm
    Offset on part: -0.2mm
    8. Click "Compute" button to compute the area.
    9. "Rework Area" detects on a one of a pocket and
    NOT on the other pocket.
    KO: "Rework Area" can not detect all tough they
    are same geometry.
    .
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    "Rework Area" should detect correctly for same
    geometry, without depending
    on values of "tolerance" and "offset on part".
