  PARTS WITH CONSTRAINTS TO DESIGN MODE.

  Scenario.
  .
  1.Start V5R17 SP3
  2.Set the options as  Work with the cache
  system and Automatic switch to Design mode turn
  off
  3.Restart CATIA V5
  4.Open the CATProduct from the V5R17 folder
  5.Select the update icon: Notice that the icon is
  dimmed
  6.Note that the warning More information is needed
  to update the assembly, Representation will be
  loaded is returned in V5R17 SP3 only.
  Select OK
  7.Look at the assembly: It is entirely loaded in
  Design mode!
  Scenario in V5R15 SP6 (working correctly).
  1.Start V5R15 SP6
  2.Set the options as in shown in step 2 in the
  scenario for V5R17 SP3: Work with the cache
  system and Automatic switch to Design mode turn
  off
  3.Restart CATIA V5
  4.Open the CATProduct from the V5R15 folder
  5.Select the update icon
  6.Look at the assembly: It is not loaded in design
  mode and only the constraints that could be
  updated in visu mode have been updated. That s
  good. It is what the user wants.

  CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 17.
  THIS PROBLEM IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON :
  CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 18 GA level AND ON
  V5R17SP06

  The problem is also not reproduced on R17 SP03.

  Incident Diagnosis.
  .
  In the given data, One support of Offset.6
  constraint of Pad+Screw.1 is not pointing a
  publication. In this case , the geometry / document
  was modified but this information was not
  synchronised in constraint.
  .
  Method to solve this.
  .
  1) Open the CATProduct
  2) Switch to Design mode
  3) Reconnect Offset.6 constraint. OR Delete and
  recreate the constraint.
  4) Save management , Save the data.
  5) Recheck the scenario now, Automatic switch to
  Design mode does not happen when click on !
  update icon.
