Troubleshooting
Problem
Attempts to create an OSLC link from an object in the IBM Rational DOORS client (version 9.6 and earlier) to a work item in IBM Rational Team Concert version 5.0 results in the link not being completed because some required fields are not visible in the user interface.
Symptom
The following message is displayed after you enter values in the visible fields and click OK:
'Save Work Item' failed. Preconditions have not been met: The 'Filed Against' attribute needs to be set (work item <.....>).
The Filed Against field is not visible, so you cannot create the link.
Steps to reproduce:
- Log in to the Rational DOORS desktop client.
- Add a Rational Team Concert server as a friend and add an associated project.
- Open a requirements module, select an object, and try to create an OSLC link to Rational Team Concert.
Result: The delegated user interface from Rational Team Concert only displays the Type, Summary, and Description fields.
- Enter values for the shown fields and click OK.
Result: A message is displayed that indicates that the Filed Against field is missing a value. However, you cannot enter a value because the field is not shown. You are unable to create the OSLC link.
