Error description
LICENSING: ERROR OCCURS WHEN STARTED CATIA WITH CONCATENATED CATREFERENCESETINGS PATH. . Scenario: 1. Clear all the CATSettings 2. Create two directories viz. d:/DM2 and d:/KWAHD2 3. Put the two Licensing.CATSettings in these directories respectively. 4. Open the CATEnv File 5. For CATRefferenceCATSettings, put the path for these two directories as follows. CATRefferenceCATSettings= d:/DM2; d:/KWAHD2 6. Save the CATEnv file. 7. Launch Catia. . OBSERVATION: We get an error message and then the license manager window opens In the License manager window, the KWA license is grayed with a red lock and Not Granted. The DM2 license is available. . EXPECTED RESULT: The KWA license should not be grayed and should appear unlocked so that it could be selected. Also we should obtain the HD2 license. . .

Problem conclusion
THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN CATIA. . Incident Diagnosis: An error occurs when CATIA is started with Concatenated CATReferenceSettings Path. . Restriction explanation. The license.catsettings file referring to HD2+KWA is not valuated when CATIA is launched with Concatenated CATReferenceSettings Path. Hence when CATIA is launched with the concatenated CATReferenceSettings Path there is an error message and the license is not granted. . By-pass 1. Launch CATIA with the licences you want to have in the second concatenated directory (HD2+KWA for exemple) => license.CATSetting file will be freshly generated 2. Close CATIA 3. In the CATSetting folder, look for the newly generated license.CATSetting file 4. Copy the license.CATSetting. 5. Paste this file in the associated directory for this/those licence in the concatenated path 6. In the CATEnv give the concatenation reference of this directories path in CATReferenceSettingspath 7. Launch CATIA with Concatenated CATReferenceSettings Path . . .
