HP Quality Center Interface 3.5.1.1 connection to Rational DOORS 9.6 fails with "DOORS Home not found" error

Problem

In IBM Rational DOORS for HP Quality Center Interface, the function for testing the connection to Rational DOORS 9.6 fails with the error "Could not find any supported DOORS versions".

Symptom

When you run the Set Access Permission operation in HP Quality Center Interface, the test connection function that is used to connect to Rational DOORS throws the following exception:

DOORS Home not found. Could not find any supported DOORS versions. Please check logs for more details.

Cause

This issue was identified as a product defect and logged internally as defect 8735.

Environment

This problem was reproduced in the following environment:

  • Server Build: Rational DOORS, version 9.6.x
  • Client Build: Rational DOORS, version 9.6.x
  • IBM Rational DOORS for HP Quality Center Interface version 3.5.1.1

Resolving The Problem

To fix this problem, add Rational DOORS version 9.6 in web.config file:

  1. Go to the directory C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\DOORSTDIServices.

  2. Open Web.config file in edit mode.

  3. Add the Rational DOORS version 9.6 value for the key: SupportedDOORSClientVersions.

    For example:
    <add key="SupportedDOORSClientVersions" value="9.2, 9.3, 9.4, 9.5, 9.6"></add>

  4. Save the Web.config file and close it.

  5. Reset IIS using command IISRESET.

Run Set Access Permission again.
