Error description

  • DMUNAV:POSITION OF ORIGIN CHANGED
    INCORRECTLY IF SKETCH IS SHOWED.
    .
    SCENARIO:
    1.Open "PRODUCT1.CATProduct".
2.Cylinder part is defined from sketch on XY plane.
    3.Sketch is hide is initially.
    4. Change to DMU Space Analysis WB, and select
Section command, then select Positioning tab,
and Edit Position and dimensions icon.
    5. Confirm that the Z Value of Origin is 50mm, then
close and cancel the section definition.
    6. Now show the sketch of the Pad.
    7. Select Section command again, then select
Positioning tab, and Edit Position and dimensions
    icon.
    8. Confirm that the Z Value of Origin is 33.032mm.
    It is incorrect.
    9. Close and cancel section definition.
    10. Change to GSD workbench.
    11. Select Extract command, then select bottom
    surface to extract.
12.Return to DMU Space Analysis Workbench and
select section command, then select Positioning tab,
    Edit Position and dimensions icon.
13.Confirm that the Z Value of Origin is
    32.962mm.It is incorrect.
    14.Close and cancel section definition.
    .
    RESULT:
    - Position of origin is changing if we try to show the
    sketch.
    .
    EXPECTED RESULT:
-Position of origin should not be changed if we
show sketch or other features in the bounding
    sphere.

    ==========*===========*==========
    Incident Diagnosis:
    DMUNAV:POSITION OF ORIGIN CHANGED
    INCORRECTLY IF SKETCH IS SHOWED.
    .
    Correct Application:
-The position of section plane depends on shown
elements and it is computed on their bounding
    elements.
-In this scenario, the sketch has a BE and if you
show it, the position of plane will be a little
bit different because of the global bounding box of
    the assembly (part+ sketch).
    .
    - In the DOC: Positioning planes using the edit
    Position and Dimensions COmmand
    .
    1. Enter values in Origin X, Y or Z boxes to
position the center of the plane with respect to
    the absolute system coordinates entered.
By default, the center of the plane coincides with
the center of the bounding sphere around the
    products in the CURRENT selection.
2.and even in this part in DOC: Creating section
    planes/About Section planes
    .
The plane is created parallel to absolute
coordinates Y, Z. The center of the plane is
located at the center of the bounding sphere
around the products in the selection you defined
