Error description

  • If you define and execute a repair job in an Enterprise
    Replication (ER) environment and then drop one of the ER
    servers, once that dropped server has been re-added, if you try
    to delete the previously added repair job, you will get returned
    the following error:

    command failed -- Encountered an SQL error.
     (196)
    Error Details:
            SQLCODE:100 Error in deleting a resynch job

    If after this error you try to cdr list repair to view the job,
    you will see the below output:

    RESYNCHJOB           REPLICATE/REPLSET
    STATE
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    ------------
    jj_repair                  jj_rep1
       Pending Delete

    this situation exists until the ER environment is re-created.

    * USERS AFFECTED:                                              *
    * Any user using repair jobs who drops and adds a node *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * If the DBA has created a repair job and then later drops and *
    * re-adds one of the nodes within the job, then it will not be *
    * possible to delete the repair job. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    * The repair job is going to be removed from the server in a *
    * future release. The user should use 'cdr check' instead. *
    * To continue using the repair job while still on 11.50, *
    * upgrade to 11.50.xC7.                                        *
