IBM Security Guardium: mysql database in Guardium appliance does not start automatically after going down due to an internal problem or following a reboot , if using Guardium version 9 with GPU level less than 150

Troubleshooting


Problem

In older v9 levels (lower than GPU fixpack 150), the underlying mysql database on InfoSphere Guardium fails to restart after a reboot of the appliance or after mysql went down.

Symptom

One or more of the following:

- mysql is down
- mysql does not automatically start after you reboot the appliance
- mysql is down and it is not restarted automatically following a mysql crash
