Problem
Errors resulting from a search cause IBM i2 iBase to freeze.
Symptom
One or more of the following error messages might be displayed and then iBase freezes and you need to close down iBase and restart.

Cause
The issue is a result of installing a newer version of IBM i2 Analyst's Notebook with an older version of IBM i2 iBase, causing some of the shared dynamic-link libraries (DLL) to be overwritten.
Diagnosing The Problem
Please note the versions of the IBM i2 software installed on your machine in particular IBM i2 iBase and IBM i2 Analyst's Notebook.
Resolving The Problem
To resolve this issue, please update your version of iBase to the latest release so that it matches your Analyst's Notebook version.
- If you have IBM i2 Analyst's Notebook 8.9.7, install IBM i2 iBase 8.9.5 or above.
- If you have IBM i2 Analyst's Notebook 8.9.5, install IBM i2 iBase 8.9.5.
It is always recommended to run the latest version of the IBM i2 software.
