Error description
Changing SNMP settings or changing the password with an improper password may result in the password files being corrupted defaulting back to admin/admin. Steps to corrupt the password file. (1) I have four user account. - admin/(with password) - other three(privileged) account, and one of them is used for snmp-cred config. (2) Add the snmp-cred config. - Add Auth and Privacy, with "Secret Type = Password", apply and save. Note that after "apply", "password" is changed to "key". Refer to comment #18 - issue -2. (3) Modify snmp-cred config, from Auth/priv to Auth only. - set "Privacy Protocol = None", apply . Note the error - "Username snmp-cred change failed" and log message. and snmp-cred got wiped out. Refer to comment #18. (4) Now customer relalizes that he made a mistake and he is adding the snmp-cred again with "auth" only and "Secret Type = Password". - fill the "Auth" info, and set "privacy protocol = None". - apply and reboot the box. (5) Notice that you can not login with admin/(modifid passwd). Only you can login with admin/admin, and all other user account does not exist anymore.
