Error description
When a property in the odbc.ini file is longer than 255 chars,
the error "Unicode converter buffer overflow"
occurs on 64 bit systems, and "The driver returned invalid
(or failed to return) SQL_DRIVER_ODBC_VER"
on 32 bit systems.

Problem conclusion
The problem is first fixed in CSDK 3.50xC4. The code was changed
from 256 to 512.
