Large file download fails with the DataPower WebGUI

Troubleshooting


Problem

When using the WebGUI file management to download large files, an error file is downloaded instead with the error message "Unable to download."

Symptom

File downloads fail with the WebGUI file management. Successfully export configuration file but fail to download it.

The error file name and the message are different depending on the firmware version.

4.0.2

    The downloaded file name is the name that was specified for the download, for example, export.zip.
    The downloaded file contains the following error message:
      Unable to download file. Use the copy command.

5.0.0
    The downloaded file name is ErrorOccurred.txt.
    The downloaded file contains the following error message:
      Unable to download file: image:/image.s.  
      Use the copy command from the command line interface.

6.0.0 and 6.0.1
    The downloaded file name is ErrorOccurred.txt.
    The downloaded file contains the following error message:
      Unable to download file: image:/image.s.Use the copy command from the command line interface.

7.0.0
    The downloaded file name is ErrorOccurred.txt.
    The downloaded file contains the following error message:

      Unable to download file: export:/export.zip. Use the copy command from the command line interface.
