One of the best ways to prevent problems and to stay informed of critical support updates and product lifecycle information for your IBM software products is to take advantage of My notifications and to subscribe to the Product Lifecycle news feed.

It's easier than ever to subscribe to My notifications!
This is a step-by-step tutorial to help you subscribe to My notifications and Product Lifecycle news. Click on a link to walk through the setup procedure:
Subscribe to the Product Lifecycle news feed
My notifications informs you of important support information. There is no need to search. Support content is delivered straight to your email inbox or your RSS reader. In less than five minutes, you can create a subscription with My notifications and pro-actively prevent problems by:
- Being notified immediately of critical technical support issues
- Receiving important product news, flashes and alerts, new or updated support content, downloads, helpful tips, technical notes and publications directly to a delivery method of your choice
- Take a proactive stance at problem prevention and create your subscription today!
Directions to subscribe to My notifications:
1. Click on: My notifications to get started.
2. In the Product lookup field, enter the name of the product. This example shows a search for FileNet System Monitor:
The look-ahead feature lists products matching what you typed. If the product does not appear, use the Browse for a product link.
3. Next to the product, Click on the Subscribe link. A green checkmark is shown to indicate the subscription is created.
4. The subscription is listed under Product subscriptions:
5. Click on the Edit link to indicate the type of notices for which you want to receive notifications. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
That's it. You will now start receiving notifications!
6. Click on Delivery preferences to indicate the frequency and format of the email message you receive. Then, click the Submit button.
7. Optionally, you can click on the RSS/Atom feed by clicking on Links. Then, copy and paste the link into your feeder.
8. The View link will list any notifications that were sent to you.
IBM Provides software support lifecycle news feed in Really Simple Syndication (RSS) format to keep you up-to-date about lifecycle event date changes for IBM software products. Directions to subscribe to Product Lifecycle news feeds:
1. Go to the Support Lifecycle page and click on the Subscribe to the lifecycle news feed.
2. A screen appears:
3. Enter the Number of days of updates you want in your feed. Choose the lifecycle Event type you want to include in your feed.
4. Click the Submit button. The following screen appears:
5. To subscribe to this feed, select the RSS feed button and then copy or drag the URL from your browser's address bar to your news reader.
Optional: You can also browse manually for Product lifecycle information by entering the name of the product (eg: filenet) and clicking on the magnifying glass to view a list of product lifecycle information at the bottom of the screen.
That's it. You will now start receiving product lifecycle notifications!

New Searching TIP: Go to the IBM Software support lifecycle page. If you suspect that not all versions of your product appear in the results, try adding a space and a period at the end of your search term (e.g., ims{space}{period}).
If you enter "IMS" for the search (below) you only see the three versions listed in pink. However, if you enter "IMS ." you see all the releases for IMS, You can also search by using the first letter of the product name.
