Error description

  • Preparation:  (Please refer the attached PPT for more details)
    1. Save the Product ???V505959_PRC001.CATProduct???, provided
    with IR, to ENOVIA as Structured Exposed.
    2. Create a zone filter as shown in the PPT.
    3. Open the file ???FILTER_TEST_PRODUCT.CATProduct???.
    4. Save this file to ENOVIA.
    5. Search this product in ENOVIA.
    6. Select the Product, right click and select #ENOVIA V5 VPM
    Send To >> ENOVIA V5 VPM
    7. Select ???Move down all entities??? and click ???OK???.
    8. Click ???Close??? in List of created documents.
    SCENARIO (Please refer the attached PPT and Videos for
    detailed scenario):-
    1. Open the copied CATProduct in step 7 above.
    2. Open the PRC ???V505959_PRC001??? by New VPM Navigator.
    3. Open LV2_001 into CATIA window.
    4. Perform drag and drop for copied CATProduct into
    ???LV2_001???. (Please refer for PPT or video)
    5. Save ???V505959_PRC001.CATProduct???.
    6. For ???V505959_PRC001.CATProduct???, activate the zone create
    d
    during Preparation.
    Current Result:  Data does not appear in the Zone range.
    Expected Result: Data should appear in the Zone range.

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON I-PLM Collaborative Innovation
    VERSION V5-6R2012 GA level.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R20 SP7.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R21 SP3.
    Additional Closure Information:
    Technical explanation of the defect:
    Volume filtering is not working for data created by
    "EnoviaSendTo" functionality.
    Technical explanation of the correction:
    After cloning new document revison from existing one using
    "EnoviaSendTo", volume attributes were not cloned.Code added
    to clone volume attributes durring EnoviASendTo.
    Possible by-pass and/or correction limitation:
    Open the data created by "EnoviaSendTo" in CATIA do some
    false modification and save back in Enovia.
