Error description
Reproduced on V5R21 SP1 Scenario: When installing "Oracle 11gR2 11.2.0.1" using the "Oracle 11g R2 installation Guide for Server & Clients", getting an error. For installing the database server the customer has referred ??? chapter 4 ???Oracle server software Installation process??? and for creating database he is referring ???chapter 5- section: Cre ating an Oracle Database???. This section states to re-run the oracle installation from the D VD. However this produces the following error: ???Error [INS-32025]- The chosen installation conflicts with the software already installed in the given oracle home.??? So the installation cannot proceed. Current Result ==>The oracle database software installation cann ot proceed while creating database. Expected Result ==> Documentation for ???Oracle 11g R2 installat ion Guide for Server & Clients??? should be modified. Please see the attached documents.

NOTE THAT DOCUMENTATION WILL ALSO BE INCLUDED IN V5R21 SP2. Additional Closure Information: In the "Oracle_11g_R2_Installation_Guide.pdf", all images in Chapter 5 as well as chapter 6, and some of the accompanying text were updated to reflect the correct installation process.
