Dear Customer: we have reviewed the problem report you submitted and determined that the function referenced is working within the scope of the original design specification. However we recognize the value of your feedback and will consider including resolution of this issue as a product enhancement in a future release, if one is made available. We thank you for your input. Additional Closure Information: Incident Diagnosis: CADAM drafting software handles font differently as compare to CATIA. Technical Explanation: In given case user has added some special characters to the Unicode ???private use area??? and has defined strokes for these characters. Of course, the receiving system must have these characters defined, or else the character will not display. In the given scenario some private characters added to the .FONT file (Stoke font file) and those characters are used in side the given CDD. In CATIA support to the private characters in the .FONT file is not yet provided. CATIA provide support to display private characters in True Type Font file only (known as TTE- True Type Extension.) Development Request Justification: Separate development is required for Stoke font files to handle private characters. By-Pass: Convert the given .FONT file into .TTF file. And add private characters to .TTF file. Private characters can be created using utility Private Character Editor (Start->Run-> Eudcedit) provided by windows operating system.
