Upgrade of Network Active Bypass to firmware 3.9-34 might reset appliance passwords

Troubleshooting

Problem

Some users might find that upgrading their NAB appliance to firmware 3.9-34 resets the passwords on the system.

Symptom

When users attempt to change the passwords via the command line interface, they will receive the message below indicating the user does not exist:

Proventia_NAB> configure authentication
Proventia_NAB(configure-authentication)> user admin abc123
User admin does not exist.
Proventia_NAB(configure-authentication)> user root abc123
User root does not exist.

If users try to change the admin password via the Local Management Interface (LMI), they will find that the link to edit the password is missing.
