Error description

  • SCENARIO:
    Preparation:
    Set the environment variable ???VARIABLE_NAME??? and set its val
    ue to the "Folder path" where user wishes to save the settings.
    1. Start CATIA V5
    2. Go to Tools / Options / General / Parameters and Measure / Kn
    owledge environment Tab
    3. Input ???${VARIABLE_NAME}\MyDirectory??? as Reference directo
    ry for types and click ok.
    .
    4. Re-start CATIA
    Observation:
    ???Error
    The directory specified for types directory in tools options (Kn
    owledge environment) does not exist.???- This is the problem
    .
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    The path of Reference directory for types defined through enviro
    nment variable should be taken into account.
    Ex: Given that user has set: VARIABLE_NAME=c:\Temp\
    Then $(VARIABLE_NAME}MyDirectory, Above setting should be recogn
    ized as : c:\Temp\MyDirectory and error should not appear after
    re-starting CATIA.

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION V5R22 GA level.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R21 SP1.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R20 SP6.
