Question & Answer
Question
Answer
Once this attribute is set there will be no further pricing OR re-pricing for this particular orderline even if re-pricing is triggered for complete Order.
There are certain set of Modifications which cause Re-pricing of complete order. From version 9.2.0 and above, product allows to add and remove the modification which will trigger the Order Re-pricing. However, note that there are certain modification (such as Add Line) which will trigger order re-pricing even if they are removed from template as mentioned in above links. This is as per design.
Example Scenario:
Consider an Item whose regular price is $100 and the retailer offered discounts on this Item on a particular day (say December 25) and for that day items price was $80
Add both these prices to Pricelist/Pricelists accordingly along with applicable dates.
An order is placed for this Item On December 25 and hence unit price applicable is $80.
Next day, a request is raised to add one more order line for the same Item in previous order itself.
Current Result:
With Out of Box configuration, the complete order is re-priced on December 26 and both the orderlines will have Unit Price as $100.
Expected Result:
You should be charged as unit price $80 for orderline1 and unit Price $100 for orderline2.
Hence you will need to avoid re-pricing of order once price has been fetched once.
NOTE: if IsPriceLocked is set to Y even before pricing runs for the first time, then price for this Orderline will not be fetched and price passed along with this attribute will be used as unit price.
If it is needed that pricing should be done only once, then this attribute should be set after the first time price is fetched.
For more information about this attribute, refer API Javadocs for createOrder/changeOrder API.
There are multiple ways for setting this attribute to "Y"
For example:
- Calling the changeOrder API explicitely.
- Massage the output of getOrderPrice API.
- Using the userexit to set this attribute to Y (for example OrderRepricingUE)
