Error description

  • Set Lifecycle option as illustrated by
    CAPE_02274_Live_Cycle_Administrator_Options.doc
    For Out Of vault set;
    Replace local file on copy = YES.
    Replace local file on check out / new release = YES
    Always check out latest = NO.
    Scenario:
    1. Create new part and manage with SmarTeam
    2. Create new assembly (assembly1) and manage with SmarTeam
    3. Drag and Drop part into assembly1
    4. Save assembly1
    5. Create assembly2 and manage with SmarTeam
    6. Drag and Drop assembly1 into assembly2
    7. Save and check in assembly2
    8. Edit (check out and open) assembly1 and part (with
    propagate)
    9. Modify part
    10. Save and check in assembly1
    11. Edit (check out and open) assembly1 and part
    12. Modify part
    13. Save assembly1
    14. Open assembly2 as read-only
    15. Click next on "Life Cycle and File Operations Report"
    16. Switch to DMT and check out assembly2
    ==> KO: checked out assembly1 and part will be overwritten by
    files from Vault.
    Even though assembly1 and part are in state Check Out and
    file is modify, a copy of a previous Checked In version of
    assembly1 and part are overwrite the files in Working
    directory.
    Expected: Read-write files in Working Directory should not be
    overwritten by Copy from Vault even if Replace local file on
    copy = YES.

Problem conclusion

  • NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R20 SP7.
    Additional Closure Information:
    Issue is fixed wih SmarTeam V5R20SP7
