Results of importing SysML XMI files are not consistent before and after Rhapsody v8.0.3

Troubleshooting

Problem

Attempts to import XMI files written for SysML using IBM Rational Rhapsody v8.0.3 (or newer) results into different representation of models as compared to the ones imported from pre-v8.0.3 releases.

Symptom

When you import the attached XMI (original.xmi) in Rhapsody v8.0.2 and v8.0.3, and compare the two results, you will notice "sample1" element is represented as "Requirement" in v8.0.2 as opposed to "Class" in v8.0.3:

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go to Tools > Import > From OMG UML/XMI
  2. Select original.xmi and start import

EXPECTED RESULT (v8.0.2):

ACTUAL RESULT (v8.0.3):

[{"Product":{"code":"SSB2MU","label":"IBM Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody"},"Business Unit":{"code":"BU048","label":"IBM Software"},"Component":"Integrations - 3rd Party","Platform":[{"code":"PF033","label":"Windows"}],"Version":"8.0.3;8.0.4;8.0.5;8.0.6","Edition":"","Line of Business":{"code":"LOB77","label":"Automation Platform"}}]
