Error description

  • Scenario:
    - Open a CATIA sessionand create a new drawing
    - create a circle
    - Go to Tools / Image / Capture and click the Capture option
    - Save this capture as a CGM file
    - Close the drawing file and create a new drawing file
    - Go to Tools / Import from File to import this CGM file
    ==> You can see the problme through the grid

  • THE SUBMITTED SCENARIO WORKS AS PER DESIGN
    Additional Closure Information:
    The user export a cgm file with the capture functionality
    leading to capture the grid seen in the capture window and
    the circle (c.f. the preview window of the capture, the grid
    is present).
    Explanations :
    When the user import the cgm, it imports all the elements
    present in the preview (the grid and the circle) from the
    origin of his new sheet. It's very unlikely that the lines of
    the grid will correspond to the grid of the new
    sheet/drawing, due to the fact that a capture is made on a
    window not on the paper format of the drawing.

    Solution :
    To export in paper format, without the grid, the user can use
    :
    1- Save As functionality and select CGM format as export
    format
    or
    2- print to file functionality.
