Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN CATIA
    Additional Closure Information:
    Incident Diagnosis:
Solid looks hollow after selecting Volume Cut in Sectioning
    command.
The volume should have a transparent face.
    Technical Explanation of the Restriction:
The problem appears if the solid has at least one transparent
face. A solid with a transparent face is considered as a skin
because a solid could not have a single transparent face.
The scenario leading to the issue asks visualization to do
the capping and there is no visualization capping on skin. As
a result there is no clipping sectionning displayed on skin,
because there is no material removal.
This issue is restriction in our code.
The problem is not reproduced after changing work object to
Split.1 because in this case there is no transparent face.
The transparent face is removed by the application.
