Error description
Point of Problem: After switch view mode to "Approximate" and activated the option "Project 3D wireframe" & "Project 3D points" in "Options", then make customize existing of "Front view" by properties to activated "3D Points" & "3D Wireframe" that projected drawing can not displayed the 3D points & 3D wireframe.<This is a problem.> But when make new "Front view" with "XYplane" that it can displayed 3D points & 3D wireframe. This is a correct behavior. . Tools/Option Setting: Please setup this option as below figure before start this scenario. Locate: 1)Tools-->Options-->Mechanical Design-->Drafting-->View(tab)-->View generation-->View generation mode =Approximate. Locate: 2)Tools-->Options-->Mechanical Design-->Drafting-->View(tab)-->Geometry generation/Dress-up-->Project 3D wireframe =ON and Project 3D points=ON. . Important information: -This scenario of data created by R18SP5 level with Approximate mode. -This scenario is reference from new behavior of R20GA level about Approximate view at online documentation locate as below: Mechanical Design/Generative Drafting/What s New/ Projection of 3D geometry in Approximate Mode. . Additional sentence of Online Documentation: 3D wireframe geometry can be projected in Approximate views. In case of projection of 3D wireframe geometry, the only option applicable is Can be hidden in Tools > Options Mechanical Design > Drafting > View tab, Project 3D wireframe, Configure button (or View Properties dialog box, View tab, Dress-up area, 3D Wireframe option). . Process OK CASE: 1)Start CATIA V5 2)Open the Part and CATDrawing files. Change Workbench: "Drafting". 3)Perform "Front View". 4)Click the "xy plane" at CATPart. >>CATDrawing window is displayed. 5)Rotate view to 270deg. 6)Click any area at CATDrawing for project it to finish process. >>The Drawing is projected. . Result: the "3D wireframe" & "3D points" can be projected and correctly displayed. This is a correct behavior . KO CASE: 7)Right click on existing of "Front view". >>Context menu is displayed. 8)Click "Properties". >>"Properties" window is displayed. 9)Check box for activated the "3D Points" and "3D Wireframe". 10)Click the "Apply" and "OK". >>"Properties" window is closed. . Result: the "3D wireframe" & "3D points" can not be projected and displayed. This is a problem . Expected Result: When make customize existing of "Front view" by properties to activated "3D Points" & "3D Wireframe" that projected drawing should be correctly projecting 3D points & 3D wireframe or correctly display like as the result of OK case.. .

Problem conclusion
THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON Virtual Design VERSION V5R21 GA level. NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R20 SP2. . Additional Closure Information: Technical explanation of the defect: The existing view cannot display 3Dwireframe/3DPoint with the Approximate mode . Technical explanation of the correction: 3d Wireframe and 3D point options are now disabled when the view was created before V5R20 level. There is a need to apply new behavior only on newly created views. The view update result of the existing views must not change (Perhaps 3d Wireframe and 3D point options are already checked but are not taken into account on the existing views). . Possible by-pass and/or correction limitation: No possible by-pass but the problem is fixed now. .
