Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN Virtual Design
    Additional Closure Information:
    .
    Incident Diagnosis:
The Update icon remains enable when script is run through
    visual editor.
In the script update of root product is done , which ideally
should update the product and disable update icon status.
However over here only the update is done and no change in
    icon is possible.
    Reason:
When the script is run through the visual editor, script end
notification is not send to update, which in turn calculate
the update status and handle the icon enable/disable status.
When the script is run through run command(dialog) in CATIA,
as the dailog is with us, when the script is ended a
notification is send on which update status is calculated.
As no notification comes from visual editor as control is
with Microsoft we cannot compute the update status.
