Encoded characters cause errors in an email listener

Troubleshooting


Problem

Emails with certain types of character encoding can cause errors in an email listener. When an email that contains unsupported character encoding is sent to the email listener, errors occur repeatedly until the email is deleted from the inbox.

Symptom

You receive an error message that an encoded email cannot be processed.
