IJ03626: ERROR WHEN DELETING A METER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Maximo throws an unknown error when attempting to delete a
  meter from an asset that has readings and a PM using that meter
  
  STEPS TO REPLICATE:
  Prerequisite
  1) Go to Organization (Tr)
  2) Enter EAGLENA
  3) Select Action > Transportation Options > Asset Meter Options
  4) Make sure "Use Transportation Meters?" has a check
  
  A. Go to Asset
  1) Create a new asset
  Asset: ASSET1128
  Location: BR240
  2) Go to Meters tab
  3) Click New Row
  Sequence: 1
  Meter: ODOM-M
  Unit of Measure: MILES
  Average Calculation Method: ALL
  Reading Type: ACTUAL
  Rollover: 100000
  Accept Rolldown From: ASSET
  4) Save
  5) Change status to Operating
  
  B. Go to Preventive Maintenance
  1) Create a new PM
  PM: PM1128
  Asset: ASSET1128
  2) Go to Frequency tab
  3) Meter Based Frequency sub-tab
  4) Click New Row
  Meter: ODOM-M
  Frequency: 10000
  5) Save
  6) Leave it in DRAFT status
  
  C. Go back to Asset app
  1) Open ASSET1128
  2) Select Action > Enter Meter Readings
  New Reading: 100
  3) Click OK
  4) Now, go to Meters tab
  5) Delete the Meter
  It will prompt an error:
  "BMXAA4214E - An unknown error has occurred.
  Please contact your system administrator for assistance. Gather
  the logs from the <HOME> directory and determine where and why
  the error is thrown."
