Error description

  • On Incident, when updating Remarks (on Failure Reporting tab),
the Remark Date does not get updated. The Remark Date only gets
updated automatically the first time user enters a Remark. When
the user changes the Remarks, only the Remarks gets updated.
The Remark date does not get updated. Users would have to enter
the date manually to reflect the current date.
On Workorder tracking application, the Remark Date will always
be updated automatically every time the use modifies the
    remark.
    STEPS TO RECREATE:
    1. Open any existing incident ticket
    2. Click on Failure Reporting tab
    3. Enter a value in Remarks
    4. The Remark Date gets updated automatically
    5. Change the value in Remarks
    6. Value in Remarks gets updated, but Remark Date does not get
updated. This is the issue reported in this case.
Found in ICD 753/TPAE 7507. The problem is also reproducible on
    ICD 7603/TPAE 7608.
In the FAILUREREMARK table where the values are stored, the
Remarks value gets update everytime the users make changes, but
the date does not get changed unless the users change it
    manually.
    NOTE:
This APAR is created for case # TS000040891

Local fix

  • Manually update the remarkdate everytime the remarks is modified
