Problem

When the Informix server crashes with the following similar messages in the online log: 11:31:21 The Master Daemon Died 11:31:21 The Master Daemon Died 11:31:21 Fatal error in ADM VP at mt.c:14062 11:31:21 Unexpected virtual processor termination, pid = 3342698, exit = 0x100 11:31:21 PANIC: Attempting to bring system down There may not be an assertion failure file generated. Diagnosing what might be causing the problem is difficult.

Symptom

The messages in the online log:
