Problem
You have a variable in a business process definition (BPD) that is mapped to the output of a activity. During runtime, if you finish the task with the REST API and do not pass any parameters to the REST API, the variable, or output of the task, is set to null. This situation occurs regardless of whether the variable value is set before the activity.
