'Server Login: Local computer' dialog window appearing when starting IBM SPSS Statistics 22 or 23

Troubleshooting


Problem

User installs IBM SPSS Statistics 22 or 23 on Mac 10.6.8 or Mac 10.5.8. When they launch the software they receive the following error: "Attempt to connect to a remote server failed inet: Local Computer:0" Followed by the "Server Login: Local Computer" dialog window.

Resolving The Problem

IBM SPSS Statistics 22 and 23 are not supported on Mac 10.6.8 or Mac 10.5.8. Please install it on a supported platform, e.g. Mac 10.10, Windows 7 and so on. For more information on which platform is supported, please see the Software Product Compatibility Reports from the link below:
