DB2 users consistently receive SQL30082N, although OS authentication is possible.

Troubleshooting

Problem

When an error or memory leak occurs in an OS configured authentication module that Db2 consumes, the Db2 check password daemons (db2ckpwd) might stop processing user credentials correctly.

If this situation occurs, users might receive SQL30082N errors when connecting to Db2 even though they are able to authenticate with the operating system successfully.
