Error description

  • IF 3270 input field has the left grid line attribute and user
    submits eraseeof key by pressing END key on Japanese keyboard
    or clicking the button on popup keypad at the top of field,
    the last letter on the right side still remains on the screen.

    The character left is just left on the screen and has removed
    from screen buffer.
    If the position is redrawn by moving the session window or
    moving cursor to the position, the ghost character disappears.

    This symptom does not occur if the input field does not have
    vertical grid line on the left side.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • User cannot erase the last characteron the righ
    t side of a vertical grid line when perform 'erase eof' by press
    'End' key.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The error is caused by incorrect field lengt
    h was calculated during process field redraw.
    *Ways to solve the problem is calculate a correct field length.
