Problem

Error starting instance. The error message seen in the nohup.out file during the start up of the instance is as follows: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /tool1/ISCDC/instance/APSPRD/var/tsstarterror (Permission denied) java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError

Symptom

Error in trace file (<cdc_install>/install/<instance_name>/log directory)

7)|Caused by: com.datamirror.ts.eventlog.EventLogPbException Event log
database error: A SQL exception has occurred. The SQL error code is
'25041'. The SQL state is: ZG041. The error message is: |Invalid read
only database. This user does not have write permission to the log
(.wal) files but does have write permission to the main database (.dbn)
file. All files must be secured read only.
