APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When configuring MS SQL Server 2008 in the RDBMS Login editor
  configuration panel,
  there is not an option for port entry to assign a different port
  other than the default port 1433
  Follow procedures as outlined in TPC Infocenter to define login
  parameters for an MS SQL Server 2008 RDBMS.

  Note that an option for a port number entry is not shown,
  therefore you will not be able to change the

Problem conclusion

• For security reasons, customers may want to have MSSQL
  databases listening on non-default ports (e.g. not 1433).
  This APAR re-enables the port field for Storage Resource
  agents so customers can input non-default ports for MSSQL
  monitoring.  The fix for this APAR is targeted for the
  following maintenance package:
