The IBM Rational Insight 1.1 ETL (extract, transform, load) process hangs when delivering data to an Oracle data warehouse.
There is no error message or new progress entry in the ETL logs and no communication with the Oracle database.
The point of the ETL process where the hang occurs seems to be random. Sometimes the ETL might even succeed.
You are using a version 10.1.0.x of the Oracle database client to connect to the data warehouse on a 11.2.0.x Oracle database server.
Resolving The Problem
- Uninstall the Oracle database client version 10.1.0.x from the Rational Insight server.
- Install the Oracle database client version 126.96.36.199 or later.
