GeosetManager50.exe returns "Invalid class string" error

Troubleshooting


Problem

GeosetManager50.exe is a tool installed with IBM Cognos Map Manager. When it is opened from File Explorer it retruns the "Invalid class string" error. Same when 'Run as Administrator...'.

Symptom

Error message: "Invalid class string"
Afterward GeosetManager50.exe is able to open files but they cannot be edited, saved, etc.
