Error description

  • The customer will see the Machine Activity Reports all stop
    updating; and the ./var/www/ipas/dumps directory will have a
    large number of javacores.
    
    Error seen in logs:
    CWZIP1185 A java system dump was generated for process:
     ipas.async reports.sys_reports_batch.[job_id] running
     as pid [process_id]. The dump logs can be down loaded from
     [url link]
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • There were multiple database SQL statement improvements, array
    index errors, and query data improvements required to fix the
    performance and out-of-memory exceptions generated by the
    reports.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The reporting query code was improved to correct the issues.
