InfoSphere DataStage Designer Client Job Open or Compile Error

Troubleshooting


Problem

After opening an InfoSphere DataStage job on a client workstation and using the DataStage Designer client to compile, the following errors may be shown: This item has no design time information, Cannot open file DS_JOBOBJECTS

Symptom

DataStage Designer client is opened and attempt to compile job produces the following message(s):

DataStage Designer client releases: 7.5.1, 7.5.2, 7.5.3

This item has no design time information


DataStage Designer client releases: 8.0.1 and higher

Cannot open file DS_JOBOBJECTS



Clicking the CLOSE button multiple times may produce the following error:

Compile job
Compilation Status
Internal error - DSD_StageChecker can't read TEMP info for containerview stage_name .!CONTAINERVIEW! stage_name

Press the "Show Error" button to display the container to which the error relates.

NOTE: The DataStage Designer client Windows operating system process may have to be killed using the task manager if the CLOSE button does not work.
