IR47741: JIOP ALLOWS ALPHA INPUT FOR A STATE DEFINED FOR NUMERIC ONLY

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Cust has discovered that the JIOP will allow for the entry of
alpha characters when the application is in a state that is
defined to allow numeric entries only.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • Unless a state is defined to "display data as defined by
   the function code - option 4", the JIOP should not allow
   alpha input for the state.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Code was added to discard alpha input for any states
   not defined as described above.
