IO22529: CAPS LOCK KEY NOT WORKING ON JAPANESE SYSTEM

  • Closed as Permanent restriction.

Error description

  • The user reports that the Caps Lock light does not show the
    correct caps lock status on V6R3 Japanese Enhanced controller.
    When they press the Caps Lock Key, the Caps Lock light turns on.
    However, keyboard input does not become upper case.  If they
    press Shift + Caps Lock, the Caps Lock light turns on and the
    keyboard input becomes upper case as expected.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Caps lock does not function properly.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This is a bug that has been resolved in V6R4.  The fix cannot be
    backported to V6R3 given the amount of changes in the area of
    code.
