Error description
roblem description DD controller spontaneously dumped. We'd like to find out why because this caused Service request number 59215,7TD,000 to take effect when DD restarted its CSS sessions, taking down the front-end until we rebooted CC.
Local fix
Problem summary
The 16-bit stack of the failing process shows that the dump occurred when a waiting JattachRequest was found and the code tried to complete it without noticing that it was already cleared and its associated storage had been reused ... this caused e GP fault in JattachRequest_completion().
Problem conclusion
This error condition was introduced by the POS terminal sales app ending without being explicitly ended by SI. The OS canceled the POS App's outstanding events but canceled a "pushed" one first. This frees the request, but leaves a dangling pointer to that request.
Temporary fix
